Product Overview
The sacred lotus is an aquatic plant with rhizomes (modified stems that are like roots) that grow in the mud at the bottom of rivers, lakes and marshes. Its large, flat leaves, which can grow up to 80cm across, sit on the water surface on stalks up to 2m long.
Product Details
Soil Lotus plants can grow in muddy soil, but it should be a mix of sand and heavy clay-based soil. You can also mix it with loam topsoil, loamy soil mixed with aged manure, or river sand. Avoid using potting mix.
Sunlight Red lotus plants need at least six hours of sunlight each day.
Water Use clean, non-chlorinated water. If you use tap water, let it sit for 24 hours to allow the chlorine to dissipate.
