All metal, standard make. The non magnetic cast metallic base is provided with three leveling screws. The horizontal base is graduated in 360 degrees. A vertical pillar with vernier moves smoothly on horizontal base. A vertical metallic case of cast aluminium with removable glass sides is fitted on the vertical pillar. The magnetic needle moves freely on Swiss cone bearings and is well balanced and magnetized; a sensitive spirit level is also provided.
